EasyTrans ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our mobile application and related services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account data: email address, display name, and profile picture you provide during registration.
- Scan data: images you submit for OCR processing and the extracted credential information (domain, username, MAC address, playlist URL, etc.).
- Usage data: app version, device type, operating system, and the
X-App-Ididentifier sent with each request for analytics. - Payment data: subscription status received from Apple App Store / Google Play via RevenueCat. We do not store full payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the App's features.
- To process images through our OCR service (Mistral AI) and return extracted text to you.
- To manage your account and subscription.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. one-time passwords for login).
- To monitor service performance and diagnose technical issues.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union. Scan images are stored in encrypted cloud object storage (Cloudflare R2). Passwords extracted from scans are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being written to the database.
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, JWT-based authentication, and rate limiting. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Mistral AI — OCR processing of images you submit. Images are transmitted securely and not retained by Mistral beyond the API call.
- Cloudflare R2 — secure object storage for scan images and avatars.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and payment status.
- SendGrid / Postmark — transactional email delivery (OTP codes).
- Redis — temporary in-memory storage for OTP codes (TTL 10 minutes, never persisted to disk).
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Scan data is retained until you delete it or close your account. OTP codes are deleted automatically after 10 minutes. You may request deletion of all your data at any time.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. The date of the latest revision is shown at the bottom of this page.
